When we speak of healing, we include mental and emotional, as well as physical health. This healing might be facilitated by any kind of doctor, practitioner and alternative healer that works for you. Sometimes, the healer is within you. Your own body is designed to heal and repair itself. Granted, there are times when it needs some assistance, but if the body isn’t involved in the healing, real health will not be restored.
There have been lots of studies and experiments documenting miraculous cures achieved with highly unconventional methods. In order for the body to heal, however, the person must somehow believe it is possible. There is the phenomenon called the placebo effect, wherein people in blind studies have received sugar pills, or even a fake surgery and had the same results, or better, than those receiving the drug or surgical procedure.
I have spent a lot of my adult life thinking and reading about healing and pursuing a healthy ideal. That pursuit taught me a lot about how to take care of myself. What I learned later was that there are some things we just have to go through, in order to heal. The healing occurs in living through the accident or dis-ease. As much as I would like to believe these things could be prevented by living well, and making wise choices, the body does have a life of its own, in many respects.
In order for healing to happen, a lot of other things have to stop. Healing requires energy and takes time. The healing process, for many people is like a death of the way they were and a rebirth into a new level of awareness of priorities and values and the miracle that is the body.
Goddess of Now
The Goddess of now says us that health is wholeness and in your wholeness you find your holiness. Fear and loss, of one kind or another, are at the heart of illness and malady. There is no shame in asking for support and encouragement when you have lost your sense of well-being. Reaching out to those you trust, can break old patterns that have kept you compromised and alone. Quality connections in and of themselves can set you on a path toward resolution and good health.
The Goddess tells us all healing involves the mind, body and spirit. Whether the dis-ease or affliction is mental, emotional or physical, all must be brought back into alignment for the being to truly flourish, again. This is rebirth, when you emerge stronger and more resilient than ever before.

Feel yourself lying in a beautiful, restorative space. You’re outdoors with tropical lush foliage all around. You are lying on a healing chamber that regulates every aspect of your being and body – physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, etheric and more. Feel each aspect as a ripple from the beyond into the physical. Feel the renewing and recalibration of everything: every cell and fiber of your essence.[/thrive_custom_box]
